The Comedy Night on 17th October was a storming success. Once again, Crown Comedy Chertsey – Barely Regal put together a great lineup of acts, and the event was a sell-out!!!
Many, many thanks to those who donated prizes for the fundraising auction, and to everyone for coming along and making a lively atmosphere.
Stephen DiPlactico – of Crown Conedy Chertsey and MC for the night – said later: “Another top gig raising money for great local causes, pleasure to mc great acts and tip of the hat to a top promoter Nick Root. Everyone was full of praise and couldn’t get enough of Alistair Williams Tom Holmes Alasdair Beckett-King and Jonny Awsum…” and Nick Root, also of Crown Comedy Chertsey, commented: “Fantastic comedy night for 1st Chertsey Scout Group. Lots of money raised and we had a ball doing it. Many thanks goes to those that organised it and to all our fabulous comedians. From the charismatic Compere Stephen Di Placito, to the amazing Alistair Williams, the tremendous Tom Holmes the astounding Alasdair Beckett-king and the jubilant and jolly Jonny awsum. It was a perfect night with a such a great atmosphere from the sell-out crowd.”
The Group raised over £4600 from ticket sales and auction bids. Fantastic! A real boost to our HQ fundraising efforts.
